While dermal fillers are a powerful tool for facial enhancement, sometimes results may not meet expectations—or changes over time may call for adjustment. Whether due to migration, lumps, asymmetry, or simply a change in aesthetic preference, our filler dissolving treatment offers a safe and effective solution.

At our clinic, we use hyaluronidase, an enzyme that quickly and precisely breaks down hyaluronic acid-based fillers, restoring your natural features or preparing the area for correction.

How It Works

The dissolving process involves injecting hyaluronidase, an enzyme that naturally breaks down hyaluronic acid, into the treated area. This works by dissolving the unwanted filler, allowing the body to metabolise and remove it naturally.

●       Anaesthesia: A numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort

●       Onset of results: Begins working within hours, with visible reduction in 24–72 hours

●       Number of sessions: Some cases require a second session, depending on the amount and depth of filler

A patch test may be performed beforehand to rule out any allergic reaction to the enzyme.

Longevity

Once dissolved, the filler does not return. Your face returns to its pre-filler state, or in some cases, partially if the product has already integrated with surrounding tissue.

Many patients choose to wait 1–2 weeks after dissolving before opting for re-treatment, allowing time for any swelling to settle and tissues to reset.

Aftercare Tips

To support healing and minimise side effects:

●       Refrain from alcohol, exercise, or heat exposure (sauna, steam) for 24–48 hours
